1. About this policy
Kitup ("Kitup", "we", "us") runs the Kitup mobile app and the website www.kitup.in (the "Platform"). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using the Platform, you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
- Profile: your name, gender, date of birth, profile photo, and the sports and skill levels you choose.
- Contact: your mobile number and email address.
- Bookings and payments: booking history, payment status and receipts. We never see or store your card, UPI or net banking details; our payment partners handle these directly.
- Location: your device location while the app is open, or in the background only if you separately allow it. We do not keep it after your session ends.
- Device and usage: IP address, device type, operating system, app activity and crash reports.
- Community: reviews, ratings, game invitations and in-app messages.
- Venue Partners: business name, bank account details for payouts, GSTIN and billing history.
3. How we use your information
- To create your account and verify you with a one-time password (OTP).
- To show nearby venues, process bookings and payments, and send confirmations and reminders.
- To help you find players and to show reviews and ratings.
- To keep the Platform safe, prevent fraud and fix problems.
- To understand how the Platform is used and make it better.
- To send offers and updates, only if you have agreed to receive them.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only as follows:
- Venues you book: your name, mobile number and booking details, so the venue can confirm your entry.
- Service providers: companies that help us run the Platform, such as cloud hosting, payment processing, SMS and WhatsApp messaging, analytics and crash reporting. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Business changes: a new owner, if Kitup is merged with or acquired by another business. We will tell you first.
- Safety: anyone we need to inform to protect the safety of our users or the Platform.
5. Venues and your information
Venues may use your contact details only to manage your booking. They must not add you to marketing lists or keep your details after your session. Once your details reach a venue, the venue is responsible for how it handles them. If a venue misuses your information, write to us at contact@kitup.in with the subject "Venue misuse" and your booking reference, and we will look into it.
6. How long we keep your information
- Account and profile: until you delete your account, or after 24 months of inactivity (we will remind you before this happens).
- Booking and payment records: 7 years.
- Device and crash logs: 90 days.
- Location: only during your session.
7. Your choices
- View or correct your details in the app under Settings.
- Delete your account from Settings > Account > Delete Account, or email contact@kitup.in. We will delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep as stated above.
- Change location, notification, marketing and analytics permissions at any time in Settings or on your device.
8. Security
We protect your information with encryption, restricted access and regular security checks. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
Kitup is for people aged 18 and over. People under 18 may use Kitup only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who agrees to this policy on their behalf. Parents and guardians can write to contact@kitup.in at any time to see, correct or delete their child's information, or to withdraw their consent. If we learn that someone under 18 has registered without a parent or guardian's consent, we will suspend the account and delete the information.
10. Cookies and tracking
Our website and app use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and measure usage. You can turn off analytics in the app under Settings > Privacy, and manage cookies in your browser.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we will let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. The latest version is always at www.kitup.in/privacy.
